Suggest Remedy For Dark Colored Swollen Piles Around Anus With Rectal Bleeding
I have had rectal bleeding for several years. I had a colonoscopy 2/3 years ago and all was fine except I had piles that appeared when I went to the toilet. I am worried now because when I go to the loo I still bleed quite a lot but I have had a look in a mirror and it looks like a large balloon on either side and is dark coloured and veiny and looks really awful. However it is not sore and returns inside me after a minute or two.
As you are having a second degree hemorrhoid, along with a lot of bleeding? In such cases, hemorrhoidectomy (surgical removal of piles), seems like the only option. Straining on stools should be avoided. A more fiber-rich diet along with lot of fluids (while avoiding chilly and spicy foods) is recommended in this case.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
