Suggest Remedy For Darkening Of Skin Around The Mouth Post Usage Of Skin Cream

Doctor Iam a moderately dark coloured lady with 22 age. Height is 156,weight is 42 kg. I used Betnovate and Cosmelite skin cream for 3 months seperately. But now more dark black colour is appeared around my mouth region.According to a dermatologist in my area prescribed a peel treatment and a cream Biluma.but this condition is changed .what i have to do?

Hi,

Betnovate is a corticosteroid cream used to treat allergic, inflammatory skin conditions. Using it without prescription may affects the skin. It can be used in inflammatory conditions to subside inflammation. Cosmelite cream contains hydroquinone which is used mainly to reduce pigmentation of the skin by decreasing the melanin synthesis thereby correcting the skin pigmentation. Side effects are dry skin, itching and irritation.

Mometasone is steroid cream similar to betnovate cream. Tretinoin in the cream is synthetic vitamin A helps to regenerate the skin. Biluma cream contains agents that can cure the pigmentation and rejuvenate the skin. It takes two to three weeks to see the changes of appropriate application of the cream. Consult with the dermatologist for mode of application. Discuss with your doctor, if the cream is non responsive even after certain weeks.
