Suggest Remedy For Difficulty To Empty The Bladder In An Elderly Man
My 91 year old father-in-law is unable to empty his bladder. Last week his bladder contained 2.7 litres of urine so he was fitted with a catheter. He will be released from hosptal tomorrow but how do we resolve this problem happening again? Sincerely S.Iwata
Hello , I can understand your concern. It seems your father in law is having prostatomegaly due to which he is having this problem. I would suggest an ultra sound abdomen initially to rule out this. Difficulty and retention of urine are very common in elderly males. Further management can be done based on the ultrasound findings. Do revert back to us with the reports. Thanks for choosing HCM
