Suggest Remedy For Discolored, Painful Bump On Foot Post An Injury
A few weeks ago my wife fell off the back of my 50cc scooter and dragged her foot on the road. On the spot she dragged her foot grew a big itchy bump that hasn t gone away and she says it hurts to ware shoes with it when ever she wares shoes it swells and gets purpleish color when normally it s a clearish red color how can we make the pain and bump go away?
Hi, your history suggest more of an hematoma (blood accumulates and get's clot) If i were your treating doctor then i would advise 1) To incise the wound and remove the clot, and covering with antiseptic lotion. 2) To start on antibiotic i.e cefexime and antacid and to continue full course. 3) Consult your physician to get the procedure done under aseptic condition, and to get prescribed medicines. 4) color change and pain in swelling indicates starting infection and it is better to get intervention as early as possible. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
