Suggest Remedy For Drowsiness When On Effexor

I have a sleeplessness reaction to Effexor which usually causes drowsiness and a reaction to Wellbutrin. I have been prescribed Oxycodone acetaminophen 5-325 after colon recession. I am wondering if Effexor is a component of this drug. And can be causing my sleeplessness. I am a 60 year old woman. I have taken only 5 of them in half doses since Friday. I have a history of having a reverse reaction to some generic scripts.

Effexor in a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor drug used in the treatment of:
Anxiety disorders
Panic attacks
Clinical depression

The following are its side effects:
Nausea
Dizziness
Dry mouth
Constipation
Trouble sleeping
Loss of appetite
Blurred vision

I can certainly say that Oxycodone - Acetaminophen 5-325 tablet doesn't contain Effexor. The following are few causes of sleeplessness in elderly:
Physiological effects of ageing
Chronic medical illnesses
Circadian rhythm disorders
Sleep apnea
Restless legs syndrome
Osteo and rheumatoid arthritis
Heart failure and COPD resulting in nocturnal breathlessness
Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Nocturia
Psychiatric disorders like anxiety, depression, delirium, dementia
Various environmental causes like excessively bright light, TV, cell phone, noise etc.
You can have tab. Zolpidem 10mg at night. That would help you induce sleep and thus reduces your problem.
