Hello, Yesterday I woke up with a dry, almost sore throat, later in the day I started feeling soreness in my neck, and it got worse threw the night, accompanied now by fever, chills, sweating, . I am stationed in South America now and have never had anything like this, the locals call it gripa (flu) as I am Bogota About 8,000 feet up, but I have never felt so weak and sore in my neck, what do I have?

Start on saline gargles,tab acetaminophen for fever and pain and hydrate yourself.If the fever didnt come down consult a local doctor.
