Suggest Remedy For Ear Infection Causing Liquid Drainage From Ear
I have a bad ear infection in my right ear that is spreading into the right side of my jaw. I have clear liquid that drains from it while I sleep. I ve had this ear infection in my ear for a little over a week. I ve taken one medication to kill all of the bacteria but I didn t work, if anything its starting to make it worse. What is wrong with my ear?
As per your query you have ear infection which seems to be due to fungal infection, wax build up, fluid accumulation, and could be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. I would suggest you to: - Do warm saline gargles - Take steam twice a day - Apply warm dry compresses to external ear - Put Otogesic ear drops
You should consult ENT specialist once for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for a week along with decongestants.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
