Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my 5yr little girl has been getting little blisters on her index finger and hands, itching but no feaver. The first time her Dr said it was hand foot and mouth, now there telling me it s her eczema. Urgent care told me it was step virus but it was there long b4 she got strep. But it does go away when she is on antibiotics. Noticed the finger that stays red around the nail a crusty buildup around the cuticle looks like she may lose her nail. Not sure if related but she keeps a yeast infection (a yellow/off white discharge in her panties Dr said yeast infection).
Understanding your concern. As per your query your girl have symptoms of eczema. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons , but in your case it occur due to overactive response by the body's immune system to an irritant. I would suggest you to clean your skin by washing with cold water and mild soap , stay in moist environment , avoid sun exposure and take anti histamine twice a day. If condition doesn't subside then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Patient generally treated with oral medications (immunosuppressants ) , antibiotics for secondary infection , steroid creams and light therapy. Do not scratch your skin as it can lead to secondary infection , rather apply cold compresses to skin to reduce irritation .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
