Suggest Remedy For Elevated BP After Treatment For Constipation In A Diabetic Person
Hello how are you, for anyone out there who can help me. My dad(71 years old Diabetic and High blood pressure patient) has been admitted for two days now with the initial problem being acute constipation. This was treated with enema and some other laxatives and improved. His problem now is his pressure that was measured today at 240/100. Please advise on what can be done. Docs have given him his pressure medicine and have asked him to rest for some hours.

Intensive monitoring and treatment is required. IV drugs has to be infused to bring the blood pressure down.
If constipation persists a CT scan may be required to look for conditions like bowel obstruction.
