Suggest Remedy For Elevated BP, Shortness Of Breath And Severe Pain In Shoulders

Hi, Be it known that if I could afford health insurance or could get Medicaid I wouldn t have to ask you these obvious questions... I would be seeing a doctor immediately !!! Yesterday I measured my BP at 200 / 72 ....repeated test again a few minutes later and it went down to 186/ 83....the BP machine recommended I seek Emergency care immediately. My BP is usually 170something over 80something. I also suffer from shortness of breath on occasion but usually with no other symptoms ???? I also have an irregular heartbeat My additional ailment is (my right shoulder especially) has been very painful ( movement of my shoulder hurts badly like bursitis or arthritis, makes a loud popping sound like a torn rotator or tendonitis). I also have a high PSA reading of 12.4 ! ...I have been biopsied already and no cancer detected...I know that I should be sitting in a doctor s office for all of these health issues. Thanks from: Curtis in Florida (no health insurance or medicare and increasing stress levels)

Hello,

You are suggested to reduce red meat intake, saturated fats and full fat dairy products. Reduce eating animal protein and try to increase plant protein. Take more fruits, veggies, nuts, etc. Switching to healthy diet will help to bring PSA level down. It will also help to reduce your shoulder pain. Shoulder pain will also get reduced by including turmeric in your daily diet or you can take it as supplement (capsules).

Do regular stretch exercises, get connected to a Physiotherapist/orthopedic for your shoulder pain management. You can apply pain relieving spray to get rid of pain. Elevated blood pressure and shortness of breath are indicative of developing CAD, coronary artery disease. Get routine cardiac tests (stress test, EKG, Echo, blood glucose, CBC, X-ray, etc.) done before symptoms gets worse. Switch to healthy diet and healthy lifestyle.

Consume more of boiled foods or food cooked with olive oil alone. Avoid taking trans-fat, refined flour, sugar, excessive salt, processed and packaged food. Take more berries, veggies, lean meat. Do regular walking and exercise. Get your lipid function tests checked every 45 days to assess your heart health. Lose weight if obese.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
