Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my SGOT level is at 83, and normal is 40. I was told that bad diet and smoking are main reasons resulting to a high reading.
I have an upcoming lab exam to see if it will be brought down. For the meantime, I was told to abstain from smoking, high cholesterol, oily and fried foods including eggs and tofu. I was prescribed to take fenofibrates and silymarin capsules and recommended to drink herbal tea (banaba). Is there a way wherein my SGOT levels would go down significantly after 4 days?
