Hello,
Causes of excessive crying in an infant are colic, acute
otitis media or
ear infection, corneal abrasion, hair wrapped around toes and fingers, thirst or hunger, wet diaper and diaper rash,
strangulated hernia,
bacterial meningitis, and gastroesophageal reflux.
Feed a hungry baby, change wet diapers, and comfort a baby who is cold and crying due to any of these above factors. Soothing music accompanied with parental attention (including eye contact, talking, touching, rocking, walking, and playing) may be effective in some infants and is never harmful.
For colic, give syrup colic aid syrup and Cyclopam syrup. If the baby is not accepting feeds, doesn't stop crying, doesn't sleep, gets fever or ear pain. please do
consult a pediatrician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
