Suggest Remedy For Extreme Fatigue Post Treatment For Stomach Flu

Hi I had a stomac flue from Friday afternoon till Monday morning. Watery bowls and throwing up. I tried to take fluides but could not keep much down. Since then I have little apatite and am very weak. I am drinking enhanced water and ginger ale. I have a fib, was not able to keep my Meds down, missed Saturday s but am back on all my meds now. How long do you think it will be before I gain my strength back? About all I can do is wash dress eat and I have to lie down.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

It is quite clear from your query that you have an infection requiring antibiotic coverage (e.g. metronidazole and ciprofloxacin), dehydration requiring plenty of fluids and an electrolyte imbalance require ORS (oral rehydration solution) available in powder and liquid form in most stores. Please visit a doctor for the prescription.

Best wishes
