Suggest Remedy For Extreme Gastro Issues With Inflammed Gallbladder

My daughter has been dealing with gastro issues since the past year, she has lost weight, nauseous, feels like she is going to pass out. Ct scan showed nothing, ultrasound nothing, lab work normal. She had a Hydascan this past Tuesday and the gallblader is at 6% and very inflamed! also she feels she is dizzier and even more nauseous than before. Her gastro can see her next week what do we do in the meantime? Please help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

From your examinations done it is concluded that cholecistitis is what gives your daughter all the symptoms. The cause of it are gallstones or sludge. In few cases, stones cannot be seen by the examinations you have done. An MRI is advisable. You need to start antibiotic treatment with Ampicillin and Sulbactam; in case there is no reaction from you, you need to undergo the surgery of removing the gallbladder.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Julinda Maksuti, General Surgeon
