General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Extreme hair fall can occur due to hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies or autoimmune diseases. Your menstrual history has not been mentioned. Hair loss can occur due to peri-menopausal or menopausal hormonal changes. I would suggest treatment of nutritional deficiency and replacement of hormones if required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
