Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 26 years old and I weigh 170 lbs. I had pain around my anus Tuesday. Wednesday when I woke up I started to get really dizzy and I passed out. I have had extreme hot and cold flashes. I had a bulge where my scrotum and thigh meet. It is red and it hurts when I walk/sit and stand. It is about 3 inches in width and is about 1 inch swollen. I continue to have extreme hot and cold flashes. I do not have insurance and didn t know if this would go away or if it were something serious.
Since you are having extreme cold/hot flashes and the bulge is causing you discomfort you are suggested to get clinically examined by a Surgeon/GP. The bulge can be due to groin hernia, femoral hernia, carbuncle, boil, muscle strain, lump (lipoma/fibroma), etc.
Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected & the clinical condition. Get blood and imaging tests (MRI, CT) done. Neglect will only lead to the worsening of the symptoms and complications. In the meantime, take NSAIDS (Combiflam, one SOS when pain) and stay at rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
