I have had conjunctivitis for over two weeks and it has improved, but "relapses" on occasion. My right eye now feels tender and painful, and there is a large red vein in the corner. My eyes are still secreting fluid from the conjunctiva, but not as badly. The iris is generally white except for this prominent vein. I am wondering why it is lasting for so long? Is it more than conjunctivitis?
