Suggest Remedy For Fatigue, Breathlessness And Heaviness In Chest

Hi, My mother went through angioplasty on 20th May 2015. She had 80% blockage in her LAD. One long stent was used to remove the blockage through radial procedure. Here are her details: Age 54, Weight 82 Kgs, History of Diabetes and Hypertension for 20 years. Taking a combination of Insulin and medicines to control both. He condition is not improving after angioplasty. she feels fatigue, breathlessness, heaviness in chest and her over all effort strength has gone down. Her Blood Sugar and BP are in normal range presently. Though, its just been a month of the procedure and the cardiologist says that for some patients the body takes some time to adjust to new medicines and also getting back to regular activity, I am really worried about her. As the condition seems to deteriorate every week. She cannot walk for more than 10 mins or do daily activities that she used to perform prior to procedure. Please suggest what ca be wrong with her. Regards Samreen

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

First, I should emphasize that if the cardiologist says that everything is okay then no worries. He or she knows what is going on with his patient. I suggest you just to follow his instructions and the follow ups when needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
