Suggest Remedy For Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat Causing Difficulty In Swallowing
I have a feeling of something in my throat, sometimes hard to swallow food, even drink. years ago I accidently swallowed a tortilla chip that was not fully chewed. but my problems only started getting worse these past 2 yrs mostly in winter. what is wrong & how can I fix it?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Difficulty in swallowing and something stuck in throat can be due to some problem in the throat or esophagus. A clinical assessment of the throat is required to look for any abnormality in the throat. If the throat is clear, a clinical assessment of the esophagus is also required with investigations like barium swallow to look for any obstruction in esophagus or pharynx. Consult an ENT specialist initially for throat examination followed by consultation with a gastroenterologist for esophageal assessment. Management can be planned after clinical assessment and investigations.
