Suggest Remedy For Fever, Chest Congestion And Body Pain

My daughter has fever congestion body ache also has white patches over tonsils. She had a flu and strep test which were negative so the dr treated her for tonsillitis now after completing amoxicillin all symptoms are returning. Do u think this could be mono?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have fever, chest congestion and body pain, well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing toward a condition like viral infection. Well this goes away in few days by its own. But if it is getting worse then consult ENT specialist for proper checkup. It could be mono. Doctor may order blood test , viral culture test and throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis and rule out causes like scarlet fever or strep throat as you mention in query . Doctor may prescribe anti viral drug , decongestants and mucolytic agent. For now do warm saline gargles and take steam .
