Your child could indeed be suffering from a gastrointestinal infection which may be the cause of vomiting and diarrhea. The mainstay of treatment would be to maintain proper hydration by giving ORS (oral rehydration solution) prepared by mixing a full sachet in a litre of plain water. Most of the times, such infections are viral in origin and irrespective of use of antibiotics takes 5-7 days to resolve. It could be that the previous episode resolved with time but since you had already administered amikacin, you thought that to be the relieving factor. Please be patient, it may take another 2-3 days to resolve.
Give your child plenty of curd or yogurt since it contains beneficial bacteria. You may give decolic to relieve the stomach cramps and some antiemetic if she has vomiting.
