Suggest Remedy For Flaky, Dry And Itchy Spot Above The Knee
I have a dime sized round spot an inch above my knee on the front of my leg. It was a little raised last week and then it flaked off (peeled). Then it was just red for a few days, now it s getting itchy and flaky again. iT s not raised but it feels like dried skin. Any ideas? Should I go see my doctor?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have flaky, dry and itchy spot above the knee which is mainly due to increased susceptibility of your body getting infected and hair follicle infection and clogging of skin pores, stress and dehydration. I would suggest you to avoid exposure to oily, greasy and sharp food substances. Drink plenty of water. Apply vitamin E oil at night. Wash your skin 2-3 times a day with mild soap and warm water to prevent the accumulation of oil ,dust and bacteria on your skin. Take diet rich in vitamin E. Apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil and apply them on scars. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and go for micro-peeling and dermabrasion. You can apply aloe vera gel on them as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
