i have had cataract surgery in the past week i was given prednisolone eye drops. i understand this is a steroid had been taking prednisone and naproxyn for pain in my left foot. i developed bleeding abdominal ulcers and obviously was told to discontinue this medication. Prior to cataract surgery I was able to see more on the eye chart then my last visit. I am also now seeing floaters which I did not see prior to the surgery. When I addressed this with my doctor he said that a portion of this is due due old age & pressure.. 78 years old. I thought to the outcome would be better. I am also scheduled for the other eye in two weeks which causes me great concern. He told me l may need to take oslaxacin and alphagan.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having floaters following cataract surgery. Floaters are not related to cataract surgery but are because of opacities in the vitreous which can occur as a result of vitreous detachment ot vitritis.... Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
Hope this is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
