Hi,

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

For better opinion I want to know-
- Your age and gender.
- Any heart disease other than high blood pressure.
- Any kidney problem.
- Habits like smoking.

There might be following causes for fluid retention in you-
* Heart failure:
- Decrease pumping capacity of heart is usually associated with fluid retention.
- 2DEcho of heart gives Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) parameter of pumping capacity of heart.

* Chronic Kidney Disease:
To know kidney function following test are important-
- Kidney function test- urea, creatinine, electrolytes.
- Calcium, phosphorus, uric acid.
- Urine examination with urine albumin excretion.
- Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.

* Liver disease :
- Due to hypoproteinemia.
- Liver function test- bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT, ALP, Total protein and albumin.
- Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.

* Anemia:
- Low hemoglobin level.
- Can be estimated by doing Complete Blood Count.

Depending upon clinical examination and above test results appropriate diagnosis and treatment can be planned.

There might be need for increasing dose of Torsemide.
- Torsemide and Spironolacton are diuretics should be taken in the morning.
- Other are Blood pressure tablets that should be taken as advised by your doctor, taking all at the same time might lead to hypotension (low blood pressure).

Hope this helps you.
