Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter of 3 years is vomitting some white foamy (semi liquid) substance since morning. Vomitting follows after a little cough. It is continuing till now. Its very cold out here in delhi. We gave her ondem to stop vomitting and she stopped for some hours, but she again started vomitting at around 12 am. Because of Sunday and Christmas our doctor was not available, so we could not consult him. She is not eating anything and only asks for some water sometimes. Presently we have Bricarex and Augmentin DDS along with Ondem with us. So please suggest some remedy immediately.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Since your daughter is only 3 years old, it is always best to consult a Doctor, preferably a Pediatrician for clinical evaluation and examination, investigations if required to get the most appropriate diagnosis and management. Since you have a practical problem of Sunday and Christmas time, it is worth trying the old medications like Augment and Bricarex for the respiratory tract. It is common for the kids to vomit after a severe bout of cough as the lower esophageal sphincter is not very strong as in adults. Ondem may help a bit.
