Suggest Remedy For Foot Pain And Swelling From A Fracture Even After Treatment
i had a fracture on the left foot phalanges and i was put p o p .On removal after 2 weeks it had not joined. so again i had the pop for nearly 30 days and the pop was removed and wax fermentation was given for 5days .I am also wearing a belt on the foot.Theres still pain and the foot is swollen. When i walk the swelling and the pain increases. What could be the reason?
Fractures usually take 4-6 weeks to heal. You need to keep the bone immobile by POP cast for longer period of time. Swelling and pain usually suggest non-union. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for repeat X-ray of the fracture site and to continue POP cast for longer duration. You can take pain killer for the pain.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
