Suggest Remedy For Frequent Vomiting And Less Food Intake In A Child
My 5yr old daughter started months ago refusing to eat her meals and got to the point where she would eat half a meal a day she gradually started to eat a bit more but Is now vomiting on a night it started nearly a month ago every few days but now it s numerous times sometimes bile and other times just general vomit 3 to 4 times a week
Hello and welcome to HCM, Recurrent vomiting not associated with any kind of gastrointestinal tract infection is suggestive of some kind of obstruction in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). Presence of bile in the vomitus indicates that the obstruction is present somewhere beyond the opening of bile duct. An ultrasound abdomen is required to assess the abdominal organs and presence of any obstruction and the site of obstruction. Since, your daughter is repeatedly vomiting, there are chances are dehydration thus maintain her hydration by giving her fluids e.g. ORS and maintain her nutrition also. Consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment without delay.
