Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. It is good that you are conscious and oriented after
head injury. Before any treatment advise, we have to rule out signs of dangerous head injury
: vomiting
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: fits
: onset of new focal deficit
: persistent non relieving headache even after taking painkiller
: decreasing consciousness
If any of above symptoms, you should consult ER as soon as possible. The doctor might advise CT scan of head to rule out fracture or brain bleed. Further management will be decided after CT report.
If no above sign, then it is good that your injury seems mild. For headache and
neck pain, you can follow few tips
: Apply icepacks at injury site
: Keep your head at higher level than chest
: Proper rest
:
Neck massage to relieve any muscle spasm
: You can take painkiller with anti-inflammatory like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: You can consult physiotherapist for neck exercise
Hope it will help you. If still no relief, you can
consult doctor.
Thanks. Take care.
