Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. It is good that he has almost recovered from head injury and it was mild head injury. The head pain can persist for few weeks to months. It will subside on its own.

You can follow few tips to fasten relief

: Bed rest
: Avoid pressure at injury site
: You can give him painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription.
: Ask him to wait and watch. With time it will subside.

If it does not resolve or increase in severity, feel the injury site for any swelling or redness, tenderness. If it is present, it could be due to blood collection or pus (abscess). It needs evaluation by doctor. The doctor may prescribe antibiotic therapy like Co-amoxyclav for 5 to 7 days. He might surgically drain it and do dressing.

Hope it will help you. Thanks.

Take care.

Hello.

He needs at least to see a doctor for an exam and possibly x-rays to make sure he doesn't have a skull fracture or a neck fracture
