Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
20 years old, 5'10", about 80kilos. Occasional smoker of cigarettes and cannabis, occasional drinker.Suffered severe chest pain during marijuana-induced panic attack. Very strong "coursing" pain beneath the left nipple. Have experienced this once before, went to hospital and got given some saline and laid down for a few hours. I'm wondering if the elevated heart rate has damaged my heart or my arteries or something? (Needless to say this will be the last time I smoke cannabis.)
hi, till now probably heart is not damaged but certainly it can if you have recurrent use. cannabis causes tachycardia and angina and sometimes may lead to heart attack if heavily consumed. This time You are probably saved. So avoid it and save your heart. Smoking also increases risk of heart attack so if possible It should also be avoided.
