Suggest Remedy For Heart Palpitations With Skipped Beat Post Heart Procedure
In the emergency room I was given CPR, compressions, incubated afterwards...I know I should have asked the Doctors while I was there..., but does that mean I stopped breathing (only) or did my heart stop? I m having palpitations, skipped beats in my case. It happens two times per minute all day it seems, after each episode my heart thumps. I feel dizzy when I get out of the car or up from sitting. Four years ago I had a heart procedure; Catheter Ablation my heart was racing- 188 beats per minute. My cardiologist still hasn t scheduled any tests...I definitely will get another cardiologist, but I m going on vacation for 8 weeks and I m worried that it may not be something I should put off...
If you had got compressions in CPR, it means your heart had stopped. These skipping beats are usually premature beats and most of the times harmless. However feeling dizzy in upright position may be due to increased skipping beats or orthostatic hypotension. I suggest having a 24 hour Holter monitoring for heart rate done for you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammad Mostafa Ansari Ramandi, Cardiologist
