Hello,
Do not take wrong food, avoid fried oily fatty food, citrus fruits, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, caffeinated drinks, chocolate, fatty food, etc. Take fiber rich food, avoid
constipation. Take laxatives at bed time. You can take antacids to neutralize your stomach acids. Take digestives.
Maintain healthy BMI. If obese, lose weight; do regular walking and exercises. Take PPIs like
pantoprazole (Protonix), and
rabeprazole (Aciphex). However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get required blood tests, endoscopy and if required biopsy done to rule out any stricture or blockage of the the
esophagus or any developing
peptic ulcer. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
