Hi.. 3 years back I had a blackout in my morning walk and it frequently increased.. one day it was very back and the plus went to 250/- doctor has advised abbiration which was done in 2012 june. after a year I had asame episode and was again in emergency. I am on drug sheloken xl 50 once a day but at time it is not contolling the pulse which gain went to 225/- please . now I started taking solatar 40 twice a day. I still feel the heaviness in the chest and uneven heart beat. please advise
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done holter monitoring. Holter monitoring is continuous recording of ECG (24 Hrs). So during your irregular heart beats, how your heart behaves and what kind of arrhythmia you have, can be picked. And after this report further treatment options can be think of. Another test is electrophysiological study of heart. This can also be helpful. So you may addition of newer anti arrhythmic drug or ablation again. So consult cardiologist and discuss all these.
