Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I underwent pbmv one month ago. The angiogram report says I have OM2 - Proximal discrete eccentric 70% stenosis. I am put on ecosprin 150mg, Clopitab 75mg, Telmesartan 40mg, Atocor 10mg and Ivabrad 5mg a day. For the past four days I have been experiencing heaviness in the chest. Today morning I consulted a cardiologist and got an ECG done. The doctor said that my ECG does not show any problem and my problem may be because of ecosprin or clopitab and advised me to take Rebeprazole 20mg twice a day for seven days. Today morning I took 20mg og Rabeprazole and felt relieved of the discomfort but by evening I am again feeling heaviness in the chest. What should I do NOw?
I am 54 years old.
MT weight is 52kg
My height is 162cm
hello, Mostly it's a acidity and reflux disease since your ecg and evaluation is normal. It will take some time to resolve. But still we can't rule out heart issues even if ecg is normal. If symptoms do not resolves then you should get one treadmill test done. Does this occurs more on exertion and decrease on rest, if yes it's likely a cardiac. You can also try using tab sorbitrate 5 mg sublingually whenever there is heaviness. Do you upper abdominal pain, nausea, bloating, burping, increase in pain on food, sour water feeling in throat or chest burning, if yes it further supports the diagnosis. You should avoid fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have some walk after having food instead of taking rest. Have multiple small meals instead of heavy meals. Have regular sleep habits and avoid stress. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. You can with rabiprazole and get DSR form of it. Also, you can add syr sucral O two teaspoon three times a day for a week.
