Sir, my father age 78 years, he is suffering from cervical spondilosis and also spin tuberculosis he is taking anti tuber last 5 month during this many complications are show like heptotoxicity,weakness,loss of apitite.so kindly advice me suitable solution Thinking

Hello,

Anti tubercular drugs like Isoniazide (INH),Rifampicin,Pyrazinamide are known to cause hepatotoxicity.

One needs to stop these potentially hepatotoxic anti- tubercular drugs , if he is taking any of these and to replace by non-hepatotoxic anti-tubercular drugs like streptomycin,ethambutol or fluroquinolone groups like moxifloxacin or levofloxacin.

However each case needs to be dealt with as per individual case scenario.
