Suggest Remedy For High BP After Taking Vardenafil
I m 70 years old in good health. My normal blood pressure is 125/70. I have not taken Vardenafil for at least five years, with not previous problems. I had my left kidney removed two years ago and took one tablet yesterday to see if it would help my ED. Today, about 2PM my blood pressure spiked to anout 195/115 and has remained about that level for several hours. Do you think these events are related?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Verdenafil is known to decrease blood pressure which in turn causes rise in heart rate s this drug can not rise your blood pressure.
The rise in bp can be related to psychological stress or increase in angiotensin secondary to kidney removal. Please consult your kidney surgeon for specific advise.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
