Suggest Remedy For Higher Levels In Liver Function Test

Hi, I had a Liver Function Test and teo items Aspartate Transferase and Alanine Transferase were at levels of 74 & 119 respectively. Bilirubin 9, Alkaline Phosphatase 68. I had Hep B in the Summer of 2004, no symptons etc. I'm a bit worried about those levels, how can I get them down to within the usual tolerances please? I am 50, in good health, 5' 9", 12 st 7lbs, non smoker and currentl diteting to get down to 12 stone

thank you for posting your query.

status of your current HepB and lipid profile may have given a better picture.
HBsAg? HBeAg? HBV viral load in PCR? LDL? cholestrol level?
so you may check those and post the results at HCM or visit treating physician. do check your HepB status every 6 months or atleast once a year.

meanwhile:

advice:
abstinence from "Alcohol and drugs"
- LOW fat diet should be followed
- NO red meat
- vegetables should be ingested daily
- Moreover, less activity should be carried out (no sports).
- use lemon juice (lemonade) once in a day
- walk 30 to 40 minutes everyday.
- or swimming is alternative to walking
- NO sports and NO jogging
-"recheck liver enzymes after 6 to 8 weeks".

wish you good health.
