Hi,

Please note that some cardiac holes called septal defects close by themselves. Some when small cause defect only in infections, anemia or pregnancy. Large defects cause symptoms as repeated chest infections, decreased height and cardiac failure as a breathing problem etc. Such things can be evaluated by chest x-ray and stress echocardiography easily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
