Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7 week year old baby has recently developed severe reflux. The doctors assume it's reflux as she hates lying on her back, cries after feeds and appears uncomfortable. She sometimes flares her arms back and screams out in pain when I put her on her back. She's Salivating more than usual but not bring up too much milk thankfully. She has been started on ranitidine and gaviscon which don't appear to be working. What has suddenly caused this reflux over the last 2-3 days and is there something else I can do to help her with the pain she appears to be in? Many thanks.

Suggest Remedy For Infant Reflux
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic You may want to look at the amount of feeds to see if she may be using too much at one time. This can cause or worsen reflux. If she is using a formula, you may also need to consider whether this is contributing as well and a change needed. Continue the medication as prescribed. I hope this helps
