General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. Your problem seems to be due to side effects of antibiotics. The antibiotics damaged the normal vaginal flora ( bacteris ) which maintain normal health of vagina. This allows harmful bacteris to grow & cause symptoms like soreness, itching, inflammation & burning in urination. You have to consult your treating doctor, for specific treatment for the causative organism.( bacterial/ fungal ). Usually with antibiotics lactobacillus containing vitamin is given orally .. to prevent such a problem. Thanks.
