Suggest Remedy For Irregular Menstruation After Discontinuing Lexapro

Hello from Australia I have recently stopped taking Lexapro (gradual cessation), and even thought I was on a small dose I have noticed I am wanting to cry quite often. I am taking a good quality vitamin B supplement is there anything else to help me over this readjustment period. Other than that I feel OK. Many thanks Yvonne email: YYYY@YYYY

I am not sure that it is actually an "adjustment period" as it may be a sign of serotonin deficiency (or another type of neurotransmitter deficiency) that makes you "want to cry often". If you were recently on lexapro and you are feeling very tearful, I think it is more likely that now that you are not getting the serotonin boost you needed from the lexapro that you are missing it! You may need to start another "antidepressant" or "anti anxiety" medication.
