General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The medicines taken to delay medicines are mostly hormones. These cause hormonal imbalance to cause delayed and longer periods. The Prolonged bleeding shifts menstrual cycle to a layer date. Please wait for a couple of months without any medicine. Your period would get its normal pattern mostly. If not, you should consult your gynecologist for examination, needful investigations and cause specific treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
