Hello Mam, This is regarding my periods. Normally I get my periods before seven days from the next due date but whenever I indulge in sexual activity It becomes irregular. The last period was on 23rd Sep so it was expected on 17th Oct but still not come. So please advise me what to do as I do not want any pregnancy issue.
When you mention that with any sexual activity your periods are somewhat delayed; they should be delayed by at least one week; otherwise we do not label it as irregular menses.
Now coming to your current issue. You have missed your period which was due on October 17th; however, it is not clear it is delayed for how many days.
Instead of remaining in the stress of possibility of unwanted pregnancy, sort out the issue by performing home pregnancy test on the overnight morning first urine sample. Alternatively you may opt for Beta hCG test on the blood. If you are pregnant, the pregnancy can be safely terminated by medicines also up to 9 weeks of gestation. Please report to your Gynaecologist ASAP.
If you are regularly involved in the sexual activities and do not want any risk of pregnancy, please adopt some routine and regular contraceptive method like condom, oral contraceptive pills or intrauterine device.
I hope this resolves your dilemma.
