I am 34 and very overweight. I have a 15 year old child and have not had a period from the time I had her. A week ago my breast became tender and yesterday I started bleeding like a period. Could I still be ovulating. Please cancel I thought this was free.
Hi, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I would like to know why you did not get investigated if you never had a period after child birth 15 years ago. The fact that you are very overweight suggests the possibility of hormone imbalance. Since you are still young, ovulation would not cease unless you have attained premature menopause, which needs clinical and laboratory confirmation. Breast tenderness was a premenstrual symptom and you seem to be experiencing a natural period. However, if you do not use any contraception and are sexually active, please exclude pregnancy. Hope this helps.
