Suggest Remedy For Irritating Stitches On Gums Post Complete Teeth Extraction
I just had full mouth extractions a week ago and the surgeon said he put dissolvable stiches in my gums, some have fallen out and some have disappeared into my gums, but the remaining stiches are halfway into my gums and they are bothering me, what can I do about them irritating me?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain in case if you are been given dissolvable sutures all of them will slowly gets dissolved and nothing is needed to be done for it, but in case of any irritation or inflammation you should consult your dentist and get evaluated although if you were given antibiotics after the extraction chances of infections are very less.. For some pain and discomfort you can apply Lignocaine gel over the sore area of gums and can do warm saline gargles.. If the pain increases or the stitches does not seem to dissolve you should consult your dentist ans the sutures tend to dissolve commonly in maximum of 8 to 1O days time..
Hope this information helps..
