Suggest Remedy For Itchiness All Over The Body

My body is itchy all over. I received a steroid shot in my knee approximately 2 months ago. While not sure this is connected, I am having a very itchy summer. It is especially noticeable on the skin exposed to the sun. Usually summer is my easy time of year dealing with my eczema. I live in a dry climate so usually the dry itching intensifies in the winter and goes away in the summer. 59 year old female who has dealt effectively with a lifelong eczema problem up until now. Help.

Since you have a rash which is present more over sun exposed areas the possibility of polymorphic light eruptions has to be ruled out. Avoid sun exposure as much as possible. Use sunscreen of atleast 30 SPF regularly half an hour before sun exposure. Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone over the affected area may also help.Since you have a dry skin problem as well use a moisturiser regularly. Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
