my left leg outer aspect of knee, my varicose vein seems to errupted under my skin it felt like a stinging itchy lump sore to touch this is second time this happened to me on my right leg in the same place aboout a year ago. the area lookes ecchymotic size of a half dollar?
hi..what u describe is characteristic of prolonged varicosities..it is due to hemosiderin deposition in your skin resulted from prolonged venous insufficiency..it is the reason for your itch..it ll also cause colour change in that area and venous ulcer if you dont get treated.. at this stage i would suggest getting operated..even if varicosities are minimum and if you dont want your vein to get stripped,there are lot of other advanced treatment like laser ablation..consult a nearby surgeon and discuss the surgical option hope that helps..get well soon
