Suggest Remedy For Itchy Pimples Around A Burn Wound
Hi , I burned my forearm 3 weeks ago and by the end of the healing process I started having bumps itchy small pimples all around. I have been on antibiotics for 4 days without any major changes. Should I consult again or is it normal it s taking that long to react to antibiotics? Thank you for your help Sandy
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy pimples around a burn wound . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the pimples are either due to secondary infection , allergic reaction or inflammatory response of skin . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to reduce itchiness and inflammation . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin along with anti inflammatory ointment containing silver sulfadiazine or anti allergic .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
