Suggest Remedy For Itchy Scabs

I had a growth on my clitoris years ago that I had removed. Ever since I have been getting scabs all over the entire area. I guess when they are trying to heal, like anywhere else on your body, they itch like crazy. I rub down there to get some relief and some will come off then the area will be sore. I have not had a sex life in years because of this. I need to know what causes them and what I can do to finally get rid of them. It's very embarssing.
