Suggest Remedy For Knot/blood Vessel On Temple

Temporal Arteritis - possible. Waiting on bloodwork. 58 years old, male in excellent condition. Have not been to a doctor in over 12 years. Small knot/blood vessel on right temple, does not hurt when pushed or rolled. Hurts when I have headaches? Are steroids the only remedy?
